Inspiring Our Futures While Supporting Mental Health

Today, our Clayfield College community came together to celebrate ‘When I Grow Up’ Free-Dress Fundraiser Day - an event designed to inspire students to think about their future aspirations while also supporting an important cause. The day encouraged students to reflect on their dreams, career paths, and personal goals, fostering conversations about ambition, perseverance, and lifelong learning. Beyond exploring future careers, this event also played a crucial role in promoting mental health awareness. All charity donations from the day were directed to ReachOut, a program dedicated to supporting young adults’ mental well-being.

By participating in ‘When I Grow Up’ Free-Dress Fundraiser Day, students contributed to a cause that impacts many young people. Mental health is an essential part of every student’s journey, and supporting initiatives like ReachOut aligns with our commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.

Alongside these inspiring conversations, the day had a strong charitable focus. A bake sale was held in the Middle Years Courtyard, with Radcliffe students proudly contributing an array of homemade treats to raise funds for their House charity, ReachOut. The generosity and enthusiasm of our students, staff, and families were evident, with the fundraiser being a resounding success. The overwhelming support demonstrated the strength of our Clayfield community and our collective commitment to giving back.

Beyond the fundraising efforts, ‘When I Grow Up’ Free-Dress Day was a vibrant and joyful occasion. We all arrived in creative and thoughtful attire, reflecting a diverse range of career aspirations, from doctors and engineers to athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs!
