CREATIVITY & CURIOSITY

T1 2025

At Hackham East Primary School, we believe that fostering creativity and curiosity is essential for the holistic development of our students. These traits not only enhance academic learning but also prepare children for a rapidly changing world. This is school wide focus in 2025.

Creativity is about thinking outside the box and finding innovative solutions to problems. It encourages students to express themselves, explore new ideas, and develop a love for learning. We incorporate creative activities across our curriculum, from art and music to science, maths and technology, allowing students to experiment and discover their unique talents.

Curiosity drives the desire to learn and understand the world around us. By encouraging questions and exploration, we help students develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong passion for knowledge. We are working towards an inquiry-based learning approach to encourage students to investigate topics of interest deeply and meaningfully.

We invite you to support your child's creativity and curiosity at home by:

  • Encouraging open-ended play and exploration.
  • Providing access to diverse books and resources.
  • Engaging in discussions about their interests and discoveries.
  • Supporting their participation in extracurricular activities that spark their imagination.

Together, we can create an environment where creativity and curiosity thrive, empowering our students to become innovative thinkers and lifelong learners.

Please see some photos of our learners being creative and curious problem solvers!

As a busy Term 1 draws to a close, thank you for your ongoing support for our staff and community. Wishing you a happy and safe Easter and holiday break.

Kind regards,

Ms Sally
