Wear It Purple Day

Wear it Purple Day is celebrated on Friday August 30th. This day is dedicated to supporting and celebrating LGBTQ+ youth.

Wear It Purple was established in 2010 as a response to the heartbreaking stories of young people who faced severe bullying and harassment due to their sexuality or gender identity. Since its founding, Wear It Purple has grown into an international initiative, promoting the message that everyone deserves to be proud of who they are and to be supported by their community.

Pakenham Secondary College values the importance of fostering an inclusive and diverse community. It is essential that we acknowledge, respect, and support all members of our school community, irrespective of differences and will be celebrating WIP on Thursday, 5th September.

A New Wellbeing Dog at PSC - Introducing Kevin

We are excited that we have a new wellbeing dog at Pakenham Secondary College - Kevin!

Kevin is a 4-year-old Golden Labrador x Retriever.

He loves being around children, enjoys his playful moments with "zoomies", loves his food (although he won't take food out of people's hands or off the table - so please remember to be mindful of this), and being a retriever, Kevin can also be very calm.

Kevin likes toys, but he just likes to walk around and show everyone his balls, rather than playing fetch. He loves going for walks and enjoys going for a little swim, if he is around water.

Kevin will be at PSC every Tuesday during term time.

For more updates on what Kevin is doing, please read the Student Bulletin each week.
