What a term it has been in Stage 1!

In writing, we have been researching facts about the kangaroo. Did you know a kangaroo is a marsupial-mammal? With all of this interesting information, we worked really hard to write our own information report.

In maths, we have been exploring the different forms of measurement. We have been doing a lot of hands-on learning to measure length, volume, mass and area.

On Tuesday, 26th March, Stage 1 also had the opportunity to go on an excursion to the Riverside Theatre! We got to watch a live performance of The Gruffalo’s Child. What a fantastic experience it was. This is what some of our students had to say about their experience…

“My favourite part was when the Gruffalo’s child was walking around with stickman” Anaya 2G

“My favourite part was when the mouse had a giant shadow in the moonlight” Ryan 2G

“I liked when the Gruffalo’s child wandered off into the deep, dark woods” Chloe.K 2G

On Thursday, 28th March, Stage 1 got to participate in our annual Easter Hat Parade. The last few weeks, classes have been working really hard alongside their buddy 3-6 class to create and make their hats for the parade. They look absolutely amazing!
