From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land and waterways

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of

Indigenous Australia.

In Faith we will show..... Respect, Empathy, Inclusion, Excellence!

Dear Families

Welcome back to Term Two which has taken off at great speed with our Year 5 & 6 students going on Camp.  This term will once again be filled with many events and the programs will take priority to deliver the curriculum in the best possible meaningful way.

Mrs Emma Clausen

I wish to advise you that Mrs Emma Clausen will be taking parental leave from Monday 29 April (Week 3) until the end of Term Three. In her place Mrs Eadaoin Lorigan will be taking the class each Thursday and Friday during this time.  Mrs Linda Di Camillo will continue with the Peaceful Kids Program.

On behalf of the school and in particular the Year 3&4 cohort, I wish Emma, her husband Jeremy, and her boys the very best for the safe arrival of their new baby.

Curriculum Days

This term we have  two scheduled Curriculum Days (Pupil free days).

Chess Tournament

Congratulations to Nav, Year 6, who won 16 out of 16 games of the tournament and was awarded First Place in the Victorian Interschool Chess Championships, Term One 2024. The event was held over two days during the recent holidays.  Neorah joined Nav on the second day. Scores were cumulative for the two days.  This brought up our school ranking to 5-6 with just two of our students.  Neev, one of our past students, had an opportunity to volunteer helping on the second day.   It's great to see these achievements that are made especially when students are eager and passionate in their field of expertise.

Biretta Boys Maths Masters

Congratulations to Neev and Samuel, our past students, who were selected from the Year 7 students at Salesian College to represent the cohort at the Micro Mathematicians' Program, part of the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series working in with Melbourne University and the Victorian Government.  Well done boys!

Fees & Levies 2024

The second instalment for school fees is due to be paid by Friday, 10th May 2024. Fee statements have been distributed this week. Parents who hold a health care card may be eligible for concessional fees. Please contact the office for further information.

On  our return to school last Monday we ended the day with our Easter Sunday Prayer.  It was a peaceful and respectful way to start the term being reminded of the joyous moment and significance of Jesus' Resurrection and great love for His people no matter who they are.

Yours sincerely

Margaret Carlei

Principal

This is the day that the Lord has  made, We will rejoice and  be glad in it.

This is the day when He rose again, We will rejoice and  be glad in it.

This is the day when the Spirit came, We will rejoice and  be glad in it.

Jesus we remember You.
