We have been fortunate to have local coaches running sessions for our students in Hockey, Tennis and Rugby League over the past few weeks at St Mary’s. With new seasons just around the corner we wanted to showcase these 3 fabulous sports in case it sparked an interest with your children.
Bayside Hockey has a new Hookin2Hockey Program aimed at our 5-10 year olds. It’s a super fun and exciting introduction to Hockey on Wednesday afternoons until the end of Term 1, an opportunity to give hockey a try before the season proper begins next term. They have fabulous young coaches, including George the English Import and Darcy the Scottish Import who were both a big hit with the students. Of source we are fortunate to have Pat and his team coach tennis on site, his sessions are very popular but he does his best to coach everyone who is keen with sessions for our students before and after school. It was amazing to see Prep and Year 1 children doing impressive volleys by the end of our have a go session in PE. And the session run by NRL for the Year 6’s ws a big hit. This is another fun sport to get involved in.
