Athletics Report

On Monday the 25th of March the year 3 to 6’s went to Dixon Fields in Gisborne for a full day of Athletics. It was a great day and perfect weather for a full day of running, jumping and throwing.

The students competed in seven different events and had amazing sportsmanship and a great attitude throughout the whole day.

The seven events where hurdles, 100m sprint, long run, shot put discuss triple jump and long jump.

Thank you to all the parents and teachers who helped throughout the day.

It was great to see everyone in their house colours  supporting each other by cheering them on.

We do not know the results yet but they will be announced in Term 2.

It was a beautiful day for our House Athletics Carnival at Dixon Field on Monday. It was great to see all the grade 3 to 6 students in their house colours and ready to go.

The day went very well with students giving their best efforts in each of the events. All staff were so impressed with the excellent sportsmanship, support and encouragement which the students displayed on the day.

We are not able to run events like this without great support from our parents. Thanks so much to all the parents who came along to help and support their children on the day. 

Special mention to Penny, Liz, Briohny, Kirsty, Marie, Mel R, Sarah, Mel C, Matthew, Allison, Megan, Mick and Kate for all your invaluable help to make the event run smoothly. Sorry if I have left anyone out. All your help was greatly appreciated.
