Year 4 News

Year 4 has been focusing on persuasive writing. Persuasive texts are made to convince others to think like you do. We are currently making a piece of writing to convince our parents to get us a pet of choice. Persuasive texts have an introduction, 3 paragraphs and a conclusion. Most people have their own opinions and things like that. These writing pieces can convince many people to think the same way as I do. People need opinions so they can convince people like friends and family. I chose a pet monkey. We wrote a persuasive text about whether homework should be banned or not. When writing a persuasive text, we first need to think about a topic and whether we agree or disagree. We have been focusing on writing a piece to persuade our parents to buy us a pet. We have been having fun being able to express our different opinions.
