Students are actively continuing to develop and expand a range of sustainability-focused initiatives within the Anderson Centre Foyer. These projects aim to promote environmental responsibility and community engagement through upcycling, recycling, and resource-sharing activities.
Plant Exchange
For those with a passion for indoor gardening—or anyone looking to start their own collection—the Plant Exchange offers a wonderful opportunity to swap or adopt a variety of indoor plants. It’s a great way to green your space while participating in a sustainable practice.
Clothes Swap
As the holiday season approaches, students and staff are encouraged to contribute quality clothing items to the Clothes Swap. If you're planning a wardrobe clean-out, consider donating gently used garments. While visiting the Anderson Café, be sure to browse the newly donated selection of men’s coats now available.
Book Swap
The Book Swap remains open and well-stocked, offering a diverse selection of textbooks, fiction, and non-fiction titles. Whether you're looking to exchange a book or simply pick up something new for your holiday reading, the Book Swap is a valuable resource for all.
Return and Earn Program
Progress is underway on the Return and Earn initiative, which will soon provide a convenient way for the community to recycle eligible containers and contribute to a cleaner environment. Further updates will be shared as the program develops.
These initiatives reflect the ongoing commitment of our student community to sustainability and shared responsibility. Everyone is encouraged to participate and support these meaningful projects.
