2025 OHR Public Speaking Competition- This Monday

Our final is this Monday 23rd June at 1.50pm in the hall. All families are welcome to attend. Bring along grandparents and other special friends to support our amazing students.

 

The OHR Public Speaking Competition has been a tradition going back well over 20 years and is always well supported by our wonderful families.  Public Speaking supports children to develop confidence and build their self-esteem. Confidence in public speaking is a valuable and vital life long skill for all children to have.

YEARS 3-6  Australian Maths Competition

This year, Our Holy Redeemer will be offering students in Years 3-6 the opportunity to participate in the Australian Math' Competition, another competition run by The Australian Maths Trust. 

 

The AMC is an engaging 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives; it is open to students in Years 3 to 12. Australia’s leading educators and academics, with a deep understanding of our national curriculum standards, actively design the unique AMC problems each year. Topics may include:

  • Basic arithmetic
  • Fractions and ratios
  • Algebra and pre-algebra
  • Geometry
  • Measurement
  • Statistics and probability
  • Problem-solving

The AMC will be run on Wednesday, 6th August and is fully online. There is an entry fee of $9.00 AUD per student including GST. 

 

Please complete the form by clicking on this link and see Heather in the office for the $9.00 registration fee if you wish for your child to participate. Entries and payment must be submitted by Wednesday 16th July.
