Design A Car

The Design A Car challenge is an event that engages student teams in the design, 3D printing and racing of 3D printed cars. Students are designing cars using an engineering standard CAD software called Autodesk Fusion 360.  Students will create/develop a team name, logo and identity.  A portfolio will outline the team’s name, logo, team members and roles, the merits of each car design and the features and aerodynamics of the chosen car. Midway through term 3 we will have a final race day, teams will be racing cars but must also deliver a verbal presentation in relation to their final team identity, car design and why they settled on that final design.  Exciting times ahead for our year 7 STEP students!
