Class Information
Weekly Awards
Each Monday afternoon, one student from each class receives an award. This term, awards are given to students displaying the qualities of Mary McKillop including a love for learning, trying their best and persisting with challenges. Award winners will be acknowledged at the next assembly on the slide show. Congratulations to the award winners for weeks 9 & 10. Included are the photos of the students from weeks 9 and 10.

We have almost reached the end of the term, and it is pleasing to still see the student’s enthusiasm each day as they come into school.
Grade 1 & 2 Update:
Year 1
- In Literacy: learning to identify and read words with the ‘ir, er and ur’ diagraphs and ‘bossy e’, as well as explain how the suffix ‘er’ changes the meaning of base words.
- In Numeracy: learning to add and subtract numbers up to 20 using part-part-whole knowledge.
Year 2
- In Literacy: learning how to infer using our prior knowledge during and after reading a text, revising the spelling suffix and prefix rules; add ‘ing, s, er and ful’ at the end of a word and 'un’ before a word, and extending our knowledge of verbs.
- In Numeracy: Revising and extending Addition and Subtraction knowledge and skills.
