Wellbeing

The teachers have started developing a set of agreed school wide behaviours based on School Wide Positive Behaviour Support. These are based on our RED GUM values, and will be further developed with the students in Term 3.
Breakfast Club is also supporting our whole school sense of wellbeing. Sitting together and sharing a meal, or hanging out in the library eating toast are great opportunities for building and maintaining positive relationships.
Not only are the students having a healthy snack, they are also taking on the responsibility of washing their own dishes, helping set up and pack up and helping one another learn skills such as buttering your own toast or pouring your own cereal. Year 6 leaders are fast becoming expert toasticians.
The atmosphere around the table, or in the library at toast time is warm, welcoming and friendly. This has such a positive impact on everyone.
