Principal's Message

Mrs Kylie Bryant - Principal

As I write my last newsletter for Semester One I want to take this opportunity to thank every one of you. My first six months here have flown by, and it has been a truly rewarding time.

To our dedicated staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence in education. Your hard work, creativity, and passion continue to have a significant impact on our students’ learning experiences. Your efforts to foster a supportive and engaging environment, one that nurtures each individual, truly make Roselea a wonderful place to be.

Having finished reading all student reports, I want to congratulate our students on their consistent effort to aspire to be the best they can be. Each day they demonstrate their resilience and determination. They have displayed growth and enthusiasm throughout the semester, and I encourage them to continue this fantastic work as they pursue their learning goals into the second half of the year.

To our supportive community members, your involvement and encouragement play a vital role in our success. Thank you for your continued partnership and for being an integral part of our school community. Together, we create a nurturing environment that empowers our students to excel. The connection and partnership between home and school can be so powerful when we walk this journey together, so I thank you for your involvement and your ongoing support.

This week, you will receive your child’s academic report via the School Bytes Parent Portal. Should you have any questions after receiving your child’s report, please reach out to your child’s class teacher, who will be happy to make time to discuss any questions you might have. Please note that while Mrs Idstein is on leave until the end of the term Mr Widjaja is Relieving Principal K-2.

Like with every newsletter there has been a hive of activity this past fortnight with nothing more exciting than our K-6 Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic day with the weather playing so nicely. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, so many parents and so much school spirit on display. If you joined us, thank you! If you assisted in running one of our events, thank you again, as we couldn’t run these events without you!

Last week we also held our K-6 assembly where our amazing band and our P&C run dance group performed. It is great to see so many students engaging in extra curricular activities.

This week the P&C held their monthly meeting and passed a motion to support the school in a combined Technology project. The staff and I are incredibly excited about this project and what it will provide for our students. Watch this space for future updates.

As we look towards the next semester our staff have been busy planning many exciting events with our first big event being Education Week in week 3 which will see a book week parade, open classrooms, community picnic and special assembly occurring on Tuesday the 5th of August. Please save this date for your diary, we hope you can join us!

In August, we will be running a Science Day and are keen to chat with any enthusiastic scientists in our parent community. If you work in a Science field and would happy to assist please contact Mrs Prince as she would love to discuss any ideas you may have. She is also looking for guest speakers to talk in front of K - 2 or 3 - 6 or both.

Enjoy the upcoming break with your kids and may the weather be fine and everyone healthy. Looking forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 22nd of July.
