Year 9 Address

To my Year 9's,
Watching you grow over the past three years has been an absolute privilege. I’ve had the chance to get to know each of you, and it honestly breaks my heart to say goodbye. You’ve grown not just academically, but as people, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
Today’s “Last Dance” was a perfect reflection of who you are. The SRC did an outstanding job planning and running the activities, and the energy, teamwork, and positivity on display made the day truly special. I’ll admit, standing on the side watching it all unfold brought a few tears to my eyes.
I also want to acknowledge the incredible effort from a team of our Year 9 students and the Year 12 Hospitality students who worked together to raise funds for our Year 9 charity, Feel the Magic. Raising $1,034.50 in such a short period of time is an amazing achievement and shows the compassion and generosity of our Kellyville community.
Finally, thank you to the staff who supported today: Lauren M, Radhika K, Tapleen M, Neil P, Seemi K, Damian K, Alicia, Michelle K, Natalie, and Rory.
I am so proud of each and every one of you, and I cannot wait to see where the next chapter takes you.
Last words from your YA — be kind to yourself and to others. It honestly doesn’t cost a thing to smile. Peace ✌🏽
Ms Mitai
