LUCAS LEAP

Over the past two weeks, our Lucas LEAP students have been extremely busy participating in lots of different activities!

Each morning, students have been choosing ways they would like to connect with their peers. We’ve seen this through them joining in card games and building creations with magnetic blocks. These times allow children to explore their interests, form friendships, and start the day feeling settled and supported.

In the afternoons, students have been continuing to expand on their connections with their peers through some more creative free play, getting to spend some time together out in the sunshine and playing group games in the gym!

As part of our term focus on community and wellbeing, students have also begun learning some simple Auslan sign language to help build inclusive communication across our group. It has been wonderful to see them becoming so involved with the Auslan sign language, learning and practising greetings, names, colours, letters and everyday phrases with enthusiasm!

It’s been a joyful and engaging fortnight at Lucas LEAP—full of sunshine, shared experiences, and meaningful connections. We look forward to more opportunities to learn, play and grow together!
