Catholic Identity

Faith in Action – End of Year Reflection
Our End of Year Mass was a truly special and meaningful way to come together as a school community. Gathering in prayer to celebrate the year that has been, to honour our Year 6 students, farewell valued staff, and pass the light of leadership to our 2026 school leaders reminded us of the strong faith and sense of belonging that sits at the heart of St Joseph’s. The reverence and care shown by our students throughout the Mass was deeply moving and something we can all be very proud of.
As we come to the close of the year, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our staff for the many ways you have helped strengthen and enhance the Catholic identity of our school. Your openness to new learnings, willingness to try new approaches, and commitment to nurturing faith in your classrooms has been deeply appreciated. From preparing students for liturgies and Masses, to creating sacred spaces, engaging in prayer, and weaving faith into daily learning, your dedication has made a meaningful difference.
I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our families for your trust, partnership and ongoing support. The way you walk alongside us, engage in our faith celebrations, and reinforce our shared values at home plays such an important role in shaping our children’s faith journeys. We are deeply grateful for the strong sense of community you help create.
Most importantly, thank you to our students. They have done the hard work this year, learning, reflecting, praying and growing in faith. Through their kindness, compassion and reverence, they have shown us what it truly means to live out our school values each day.
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, may this sacred season fill your hearts and homes with peace, hope and joy as we welcome the birth of Jesus. I wish all our families a safe, restful and very Merry Christmas, and I look forward with gratitude and hope to all that 2026 will bring.
