Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund application (CSEF)
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you have a valid means-tested concession card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. Means-tested concession cards must be valid on the first day of Term 1, 2025 (Tuesday 28 January 2025) or Term 2, 2025 (Tuesday 22 April 2025).
Eligible families will receive a payment of $154 per year for primary school students. The funds will be paid directly to the school to be used towards camps, sports and excursion costs for the benefit of your child.
If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office and ask for an application form. Applications close on the 4th of July.
Enrolments
Recently we welcomed Roland, Alfred and Lani to our school. We hope they are getting to know our school and starting to make friends. We also extend a warm welcome to their families.
I also had the pleasure of enrolling our first foundation students for 2026. If you have any children who are starting school next year, please complete the enrolment forms and make an appointment to meet with me as soon as possible.
Last week, I conducted school tours for foundation 2026 students. Future school tours can be arranged by calling the office.
Important Information - School Saving Bonus Update
School fees – Book Packs
Firstly, thank you to all the families who paid the school fees after the recent reminder. On Tuesday night at School Council, I shared our financial situation in regard to school fees.
Unfortunately, the payment response is still very low. The school paid $40,000 for all the books, pencils and resources that each student receives. We have collected only $13,000 so far. This is the lowest amount in the 12 years I have been at this school. This is a shortfall of $27,000 that will have to be taken out of other budgets.
Can I please urge parents to consider paying their fees as soon as possible. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please let us know. We are happy for families to make a partial payment or pay across the year.
Thank you for understanding and supporting your children to ensure they have all the equipment and materials they need for their learning.
Curriculum Day
Thank you to Ms. Scott, Elizabeth, our Inclusion Coach and the Positive Climate team for delivering an interesting and informative professional learning day for all our staff yesterday.
In the morning, we were privileged to hear from Elizabeth, who shared the latest research around neuro diversity and how to structure the learning environment and support students with diverse needs.
Our Positive Climate team also shared some Department resources around classroom management systems. It was a great for all staff to share ideas and learn together to help all our students.
Kind Regards,
