First Eucharist

We are delighted to share that a very special occasion is approaching for many of our students and their families. On Saturday, May 24th at 6:00 PM, a number of our Year 4 children will be receiving their First Eucharist at St Mary's Star of the Sea Church.

This is a significant milestone in their faith journey as they receive the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. The preparation for this sacrament will be a beautiful time of learning, reflection, and spiritual growth. The students over the coming weeks will be working hard to understand the importance of the Eucharist.

We warmly invite all families to keep these students in your thoughts and prayers as they take this important step in their spiritual lives.

🌸 Celebrating Mother’s Day – A Gift from God 🌸

As we celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, we give thanks to God for one of His greatest blessings—our mothers. This special day is a time to show love, appreciation, and gratitude to the women who care for us with a heart full of faith, kindness, and sacrifice.

In the Bible, we are reminded of the importance of honoring our parents:

“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” – Exodus 20:12

Our mothers—whether they are our birth mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, godmothers, or mother figures—are like Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary shows us how to say "yes" to God with love, patience, and trust.

🙏 Dear God,

Thank You for the gift of our mothers.

Bless them with health, joy, and peace.

Help us to show our love through kind words and actions.

May we follow the example of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Amen. 🙏

Wishing all mothers and carers in our school community a joyful and blessed Mother’s Day!
