Pilgrim School is a caring and Christ-centred learning community where children are nurtured to Belong, Explore, Flourish and Serve. We are committed to providing high-quality primary education from a Christian worldview, supporting students to grow academically, creatively, emotionally and spiritually.
Established by the Uniting Church in South Australia in 1982, Pilgrim School is an independent, coeducational F-6 primary school located on spacious and picturesque grounds. We are part of the unique Aberfoyle Park Primary School Campus - often simply referred to as ‘Campus’ - which is a cooperative partnership between Pilgrim School, Thiele Primary School, School of the Nativity and Aberfoyle Park Campus Preschool.
This distinctive shared-campus model offers a rich and collaborative environment, providing students and families with access to shared resources and broader learning opportunities, while still preserving the individual identity and values of each school.
School Values
Pilgrim School's culture is built upon our four core values:
Belong - Explore - Flourish - Serve
These values are embedded in everything we do, from classroom environments and staff priorities to leadership structures and weekly student awards.
- Belong: Every child is known and valued. Our community fosters connection, inclusion and a strong sense of identity.
- Explore: From a secure base, students are encouraged to engage curiously and confidently with their world.
- Flourish: We nurture growth in all areas of life - academic, emotional, physical, social and spiritual.
- Serve: Students are empowered to think beyond themselves and act with compassion, humility and purpose.
Our values are not just aspirational - they are lived out daily in our learning, relationships, and service within and beyond our school.

Affiliations and Networks
Pilgrim School is a member of Christian Schools Australia (CSA) and the Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA). These affiliations provide valuable opportunities for professional development, leadership networking, advocacy, and support in maintaining high standards of educational practice within an independent Christian framework.
Through CSA, we engage in national conversations around Christian education, access faith-formation resources, and connect with other schools who share our vision for Christ-centred learning. Our AISSA membership enables staff and leadership to access training, curriculum support, and guidance on governance, compliance and educational innovation - all tailored to the independent sector in South Australia.
