Assistant Principals' Report

Semester 1 Reports

Semester 1 reports will be released to parents and carers via Compass on the afternoon of Thursday, 3rd July 2025.

This year, we are using the new Victorian Curriculum 2.0 for Levels F to 10 to report student progress. For Levels A to D (Towards Foundation), we are using the Victorian Curriculum 1.0.

Under the Mathematics Curriculum 2.0, your child’s teacher will report against the achievement standard as a whole, providing a single, aggregated score. As this will be the first time our Year 1 students have received a report under the Mathematics 2.0 curriculum, it will only show achievement and not progress. For all reports after this, progress will be shown against the single achievement standard.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher to arrange a convenient time to meet or have a phone conversation.

Uniform

As the weather is becoming colder, many different out-of-uniform items are being worn to school by students.  Please ensure that students are wearing their full school uniform and that gloves, scarves and beanies are in our school colours. Students must also wear their school jumpers and not hoodies from home.

Kids First Program

Our Year 2-6 students will attend Kids First incursions across Semester 2, completing the program 'All About Safety'. The Compass Events for the Semester 2 program are now live for parent consent and payment. If you have not done so already, please complete the consent and payment for the event as soon as possible. Consent and payment are due by the end of the Term.

Our Primary Years Teachers completed professional learning with Kids First last Wednesday 16th of June. This was an opportunity to learn about the program and understand how they can further support during the Incursion and beyond.

If you were unable to attend the Parent Information Session, Kids First has provided a parent information sheet about the program. This has been posted to Compass, and you can also find this below. If you have any further questions around the program, please see below, Kids Firsts facilitator’s email, or contact the Primary Years Office.

CyberSafety

With school holidays fast approaching, we recognise students may have increased time on their devices. The eSafety Commission has resources that can support families with managing online use and ensuring kids stay safe online. Parents and carers play a major role in helping children to develop digital intelligence – the social, emotional and practical skills needed to navigate the online world in a safe and fun way. A family tech agreement is a set of rules about how devices, like smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs and gaming consoles are used in your home. To find out more about how to create a Family Tech Agreement, please see the eSafety Commissioner guide below.
