‘Supporting Every Student’s Success’

At Keysborough College, we’re committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for every student. Our goal is simple: to help every student feel supported and inspired.

As Campus Engagement Assistant Principals, we are focused on ensuring all students are connected to their learning, their peers, and the wider school community.

We have been working closely with Year Level Leaders, teachers, students and families to;

• Promote positive attendance, behaviour, and participation across all year levels.

   

• Support student engagement and wellbeing by identifying barriers to learning and helping students stay on track.

   

• Collaborate with families and external agencies to provide targeted support where needed.

   

• Lead programs and initiatives that build strong student-teacher relationships, school pride, and a 

         sense of belonging.

   

  One of the initiatives we are leading this year is the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program. SWPBS is based on a clear set of behaviour expectations that are explicitly taught, reinforced, and celebrated throughout the school. Through SWPBS, we aim to strengthen practices that are already in place and continue to develop a strong school culture where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.

   

  We are aware that in secondary school, students face increasing academic demands and personal responsibilities. That’s why it's more important than ever that they are connected to their learning and understand the relevance of what they’re studying. Research shows that engaged students are more motivated, achieve higher results, and are more likely to complete their schooling. Through School Wide Positive Behaviour Practices we are ensuring students are able to maintain a focus and be reflective about their learning.
