Welcome back to all our students and families as we begin a new term! I hope everyone had a restful break and is ready for an exciting term ahead. We had a very short first week, and I’d like to remind you that tomorrow is a public holiday in honour of ANZAC Day. We have many exciting events planned this term, and I look forward to catching up with all students over the next week.新しい学期が始まりました!休暇はどのように過ごされましたか。短い一週間でしたが、明日はANZACデーで祝日となりますのでご注意ください。この学期も多くのイベントが計画されています。来週は皆さんとお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
A quick reminder to all students and families that students must wear their hats until the last day of April. Those without a hat will be asked to sit under the cover around the weatherboard building during playtime. Please ensure that your child brings their hat every day so that they can enjoy their breaktime safely.4月の最後の日まで、帽子を着用を忘れないようにしましょう。帽子を持参していない場合、生徒達は遊び時間にはウェザーボードの建物の周りの覆いの下に座っていなくてはなりません。毎日お子様が帽子を持って来るようにご確認ください。
Snapshots from our classroom: On the very first day back, I had a pleasant surprise when I visited our Prep C students in Mrs Curlewis' classroom. The students were learning letters and their sounds, blending them together to make words. Mrs Curlewis was having her students use a mini whiteboard to check their understanding. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and engagement in the classroom!休み明けの初日に、カールウィス先生のクラスのPrep Cの生徒たちに会いに行った時に、とても嬉しい驚きがありました。生徒たちは、すでに授業に集中して、文字とその音を学び、それらを組み合わせて単語を作っていました。カールウィス先生は、ミニホワイトボードを使って生徒たちの理解度を確認していました。教室での熱心な姿勢と積極的な参加を見ることができ、とても素晴らしい瞬間でした!
In Kurata Sensei's classroom, Aya Sensei was teaching a lesson. When I walked in, it was the 'warm-up' stage of the lesson, and students were challenged to combine numbers as quickly as possible to create 10 in pairs. This is a fundamental building block of their mathematical understanding and skills, which will help them tackle more complex calculations later on. It was a fantastic way for students to settle back into the classroom, enjoy some fun with their friends, and practise this essential skill that will serve them well in the future.庫田先生のクラスでは、綾先生が授業をしていました。授業は「ウォームアップ」の段階で、生徒たちはできるだけ早く数を組み合わせてペアで10を作るチャレンジをしていました。これは、数学的理解とスキルの基盤となるもので、今後より複雑な計算に取り組む時の助けになります。生徒たちが教室に戻ってきて、友達と一緒に楽しみながらこの重要なスキルを練習する素晴らしい方法でした。
