Indigenous Students Shine at Blak Jobs Expo 2025

This week, a group of our Indigenous students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Blak Jobs Expo 2025, proudly hosted by the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN).
The event focused on building meaningful connections between Aboriginal businesses, jobseekers, and communities with the aim of fostering a thriving and innovative Blak business sector across the Territory.
The Expo provided students with a valuable chance to network with local employers, explore a wide range of career pathways, and learn more about the opportunities available in their chosen industries. NTIBN’s mission is to grow a vibrant Blak economy by unlocking employment opportunities for Indigenous people and creating strong pathways from school to the workforce.
Our students made the most of the experience—some successfully arranged future work experience placements with local organisations, while others connected with industry leaders and mentors who offered insights into their chosen career paths. Annasteene Gibson and Natalina Forbes even had the opportunity to speak live on CAAMA Radio, proudly sharing their thoughts and takeaways from the event.
It was inspiring to see our young people thinking about their futures, engaging with professionals, and taking proactive steps toward their career goals. We’re incredibly proud of how they represented the school and community, and we look forward to the exciting opportunities this experience will open up for them.
