New Pope News

This morning, the news came through that there was some white smoke arising from the Vatican! When white smoke comes from the chimney at the Vatican, it means a new pope has been elected.

Pope Leo XIV has taken on the new Papacy. He is the first pope to come from the United States. The children will be learning about this in class today too. It is very important to us at St Thomas the Apostle because many people around the world have been waiting with baited breath. Pope Leo XIV will be the next leader of the church and with every new leader, whether it be a new prime minister or a new company CEO, people are always wondering what the leadership will be like.

We pray that Pope Leo guides our church well and listens to the needs of the world.

Thursday 8th May was a celebration of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments at St Thomas! 

🏫✨ We welcomed hundreds of special visitors into our classrooms, where joy filled every corner. 

🎶👩‍👧‍👦From the sweet sound of children singing 🎤💕 to the sparkle in every handmade cupcake 🧁✨ and hands-on activities full of heart—this morning was nothing short of magical.

Seeing our little ones share smiles, songs, and special time with the amazing women in their lives reminded us just how powerful community can be. 🤗💐

We are so grateful to every parent, grandparent, and carer who joined us—and to the dedicated staff of St Thomas for making this morning one to remember. 🌟

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women who inspire, nurture, and lead with love every day. 💝🌷
