School Attendances
As we settle in for Term 3 please don't forget to record your child's non-attendance using the Xuno app, which is the preferred method at Westbreen PS.
If you're unsure how to do this, here are the steps to record a non-attendance at Westbreen PS:
Step 1: Log in to the Xuno app and navigate to the attendance section.
Step 2: Scroll down and select "Send absence note."
Step 3: Choose "Send a note for a future date."
Step 4: Enter the details of the non-attendance:
- Start date and finish date: Enter the same date in both fields.
- Select periods: Choose both AM and PM for a full day or select one period for a half day.
- Enter the reason for the non-attendance, such as "Not feeling well" or "Holidays".
- Click "Save."
If you need further assistance, please email or visit the office staff, who will be able to help you. Following this process will make recording school attendance quick and accurate.
First Aid Notices
Just a friendly reminder about first aid notices.
If your child visits sick bay you will receive a SMS summarising your child's incident. This is not a message to come collect your child but for your information only. If you need further information or have concerns please don't hesitate to call the school first for more clarity.
As a requirement from the Department of Education all injuries from the neck above requires the school to call parents regardless how serious the injury is.
If your child has had an injury or incident that requires your child to go home you will be called by the school to come and collect your child.
If you have any further questions regarding sick bay please feel free to contact the First Aid Officer Jill Petrie at the school office.
Sick Bay News
As always, the health and wellbeing of our students is a top priority at our school.
If your child is unwell or has recently been diagnosed with an illness that requires medical attention, we kindly ask that you keep the school informed. It's especially important to let us know of any follow up appointments or changes to your child's condition, so we can provide the best support during their time at school. This helps us ensure your child's needs are met and also allows us to manage the health and safety of the wider school community.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child's needs further, please don't hesitate to contact the office, wellbeing team or speak to your child's teacher.
