National Science Week

National Science Week (11th - 15th of August)
This Science Week we are Decoding the Universe to celebrate 2025’s National Science Week. That basically means we will be discovering our world/ the universe around us.
This year we have three specially made fun lunch time activities based our science week theme of Decoding the universe.
Everyone from grades Foundation-Grade 6 is welcome to join us in celebrating science week.
Activities include:
- Shadows Basketball Courts Next to the Blue Shed at 11.00am
- Have you ever noticed that your shadows moves and changes? We want to know how much it can change in one recess time by tracing shadows. Let's see how many shadows we can trace.
- Animal Tracking STEAM Room at 11.00am
- Animals have gotten loose in the school yard. But what animals are they? Track down the animal foot prints to find the answer.
- Decoding the Universe Escape Room STEAM Room at 11.00am
- You are a lost space explorer. You don't know where in the universe you are. Find the answers to our challenging puzzles to find the answer.
As some activities are outdoor it will depend on the weather as to which day they will happen. Listen out for announcements at recess time to find out which activity will be held on which day.
We hope to see you for lots of science fun in week 4.
Sincerely your 2025 Sustainability leaders.
