Wellbeing

Hello families!
We’ve kicked off Term 3 with a BANG — diving into NAIDOC Week and exploring what it means to “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy ”. Our students have been celebrating First Nations cultures with creativity, curiosity, and deep respect. From dot-painting and storytelling to thinking critically about how we share and care for the land, it's been a beautiful way to launch our learning.
But wait — there’s more! Our Wellbeing journey is only just getting warmed up...
Next up, we’re moving into our Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) unit — and this term, it’s all about Gender. 👩🚀👨🎤🧑🏫
We’ll be exploring:
- 🌈 Gender norms and stereotypes
- 🧠 How the world around us can shape our thinking
- 💪 Being proud of who we are and respecting others
- 🌍 Understanding that we can be different and still belong
Each year level will be tackling this topic in their own age-appropriate way — from storytime discussions in the early years to deeper critical thinking tasks in the senior levels. It’s all designed to build empathy, challenge bias, and empower our young people to be confident, kind and respectful citizens.
There’ll be posters, group chats, big questions, role plays, and more — all coming soon to a classroom near you!
📲 Be sure to check Seesaw regularly — we’ll be posting photos, snapshots, and little moments of magic from our activities so you can share in the fun from home!
Thanks for being our partners in raising strong, thoughtful humans. 💬👣
