“In all things love.” – St Mary of the Cross MacKillop
Welcome Back to Term 3: We extend a warm welcome back to all students, staff, and families as we begin Term 3. The new term brings with it fresh opportunities for learning, community, and deepening our faith. We pray that this term is filled with growth, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose for everyone in our school community.
HSC Trial Examinations – Keep Year 12 in Our Prayers: Our Year 12 students are now entering their HSC Trial Examinations – a critical and often intense time in their academic journey. We ask our school community to keep these students in their prayers as they strive to do their best. May they approach each exam with calm, clarity, and confidence, trusting in the gifts God has given them.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Year 11 Retreat: Our Year 11 students will soon be participating in their much-anticipated retreat. This is a special time for personal reflection, spiritual development, and building stronger connections as a cohort. We hope this experience helps each student to grow in their faith and return feeling uplifted and inspired.
Feast of Mary MacKillop – 8 August: On Friday, 8 August, we will celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop – a central figure in our college’s identity. Alongside the Sisters of St Joseph, Mary MacKillop founded our school in 1896, dedicating her life to the education of young people, especially those in rural areas. As part of our celebrations, we will walk the Way of the Cross as a school community, honouring her legacy of courage, compassion, and unwavering faith.
