Leongatha Primary School Community Newsletter - Term 3 Week 3
Dear Leongatha Primary School Community,
Welcome to Week 3 of Term 3. We hope everyone had a relaxing break and is now ready for another exciting and productive week ahead. There are many fantastic activities and events lined up, and we are excited to share some of the highlights with you.
Grade 5 & 6 Salvation Army Excursion: Supporting Homelessness Awareness
This week, our Grade 5 and 6 students will be embarking on an excursion to the Salvation Army, where they will engage in a program focused on homelessness awareness. This excursion is part of our ongoing efforts to educate and inspire our students to be compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible citizens. We are proud to support this important cause, and we look forward to seeing our students take away valuable lessons on the importance of kindness and community support.
Australian Maths Competition
We wish all our students the best of luck as they prepare to participate in the Australian Maths Competition this week. This prestigious event offers our students the opportunity to challenge themselves, showcase their mathematical skills, and compete against students from across the country. We're so proud of the effort and dedication our students have shown, and we know they will do their best.
Local Community of Practice: Expert Teaching on Display
Leongatha Primary School will also be hosting a Local Community of Practice later this week. This event will bring together educators from nearby schools to observe and learn from our expert teachers. It's an exciting opportunity for us to share best practices in teaching and learning, while also providing a platform for professional growth. Our teachers are dedicated to providing the highest quality education to our students, and this event will showcase the innovative methods and strategies they use every day.
We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the ongoing development of education in our local community, and we’re excited for the chance to collaborate with fellow educators.
Artist in Residence
This week, we are also excited to welcome our Artist in Residence, who will be working with all year groups. This program offers a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in creative exploration and artistic development. We are eager to see the growth and performances that emerge from these sessions, and we look forward to sharing the results with you in the near future.
As always, thank you for your continued support. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and engaged school community. If you have any questions or would like further information about any of the events mentioned above, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead.
Regards
Warwick
