100 Days of School for our Foundation Class
I mentioned last week that third term is the most critical term (in my view) in the life of a school student. Reports have been read, goals are set, springtime is on the horizon and life is good.
This week our Foundation students celebrated 100 days of learning; it has been a truly humbling experience watching them grow; physically, spiritually, mentally and academically. Watching them write, draw, read, add, subtract, sing etc is a joyful experience.
Assembly
But it's not just the Foundation kids who grow ~ watching Thursday's assembly by the senior students proved to me that kids grow every day at school. The sharing of their learning was fantastic across many areas of the curriculum and it was great to hear all the leaning taking place. A big shout out to Deb and James for running the assembly.
Student Leadership
A shout out to some of our school leaders who are giving up their lunchtimes to serve others ~ to Mohammad, Ali, Mason and Roman, thankyou for giving back to your community and running a F-2 soccer game for all our younger students. They love it and look forward to each Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime!
(And as a trade off, the senior students are heading over to Parade each Wednesday lunchtime to enjoy the facilities over there, including a full sized soccer pitch). They can't wait. If your child is in Years 4-6 and would like to play a game of soccer each Wednesday, ask them to come and see me for a permission note. Thanks.
Have a great third quarter everyone!
Thanks again for your ongoing support.
