Congratulations to our Foundation Students!
A big congratulations to our amazing Foundation students who celebrated 100 Days of Learning! Your curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning in our school community have been truly inspiring.
A very big thank you to our dedicated teachers Marty, Lauren, Palwasha, and Rebecca for their amazing support and guidance, making learning fun and exciting, and inspiring students to want to come to school every day.
Here’s to many more exciting days of learning and discovery ahead!
Maureen Bedson Foundation
I am excited to share some wonderful news with our school community. Sacred Heart has received confirmation that our proposal to the Maureen Bedson Foundation for an additional donation has been approved by the Trustees.
The funds will be used to create a dedicated indoor space for students who are unable to go outside during recess and lunch, and for those who may need a quiet place to regulate and reset during the day (you’ll find it in the cosy spot opposite the staff bathroom area).
This welcoming space will include soft furnishings, sensory tools, and calming resources, designed to meet the emotional and sensory needs of our students.
In the coming weeks, I will be working with staff and students to design and plan the space. If you have any suggestions or would like to be involved in shaping this area, please let me know, I would love to have you join us.
We are honoured to name the space in recognition of Maureen Bedson, a passionate advocate for children with additional needs. The Maureen Bedson Foundation was established in her memory and continues her legacy by supporting projects that create inclusive, supportive environments for students.
We sincerely thank the Foundation for their continued generosity and support of our school community.
Safety Around Sacred Heart School
Following on from last week’s message, we thank everyone for working together to keep our school community safe. Please continue to take care when driving and parking near the school, use the crossings, and watch out for our students and neighbours. Every small action makes a big difference for the safety and wellbeing of our children.
