Year 7 Water Rockets

Year 7 have been launching water rockets as part of their study of Forces. The students have designed aerodynamic fins and nose cones, and then measured how far the rockets will fly when using different volumes of water inside the body of the rocket.

Our furthest distance was around 34m, with the rocket landing on the basketball court.  Mr. Jones will be presenting a special prize to the winning team.

Science Week

On Monday we kicked off Science Week with an escape room.  Students had to save winter by finding clues and cracking the codes to destroy Professor Swen’s anti snow machine!  Each code cracked earned the students some yummy chocolates.

Flames, Foam, Bubbles and Rockets!

Today Red Cliffs Secondary College celebrated National Science Week with an awesome science show put on by our very own Mrs. Mulada.  Students joining us at lunchtime were able to watch and assist in creating giant bubbles, elephant's toothpaste, launching a butane rocket and lighting bubbles, cornflour and play money on fire.
