St George’s Cathedral – Concerts at One
Family and friends are invited to join us for John XXIII College’s annual performance at St George’s Cathedral! Held on Wednesday 6 August from 1:00 – 1:45pm, this concert features Chamber Choir, Year 12 Cello Trio, Year 11 String Quartet, Senior Clarinet Ensemble, Senior Voices, Year 11 Wind Quintet, Barbershop and selected ATAR soloists from Year 11 and 12, in the beautiful surrounds and acoustics of St George’s in the Perth CBD. Entry is free (with a collection taken at the concert conclusion) and open to all members of the public! Please contact the Music Department with any queries.
Music Eisteddfod 2025
Thank you to everyone for submissions to the Music Eisteddfod! A schedule is currently being drafted for Sunday, 10 and Monday, 11 August and will be communicated to families early in Week 3. Students requesting or requiring accompaniment can sign up in the Music Office for ten-minute rehearsals throughout the week, ready for the big event! Original compositions can be emailed directly to james.kros@johnxxiii.edu.au, and these will be adjudicated during the Eisteddfod event.

Chapel Choir
The Chapel Choir is open to all Years 1 to 12 students who love singing, with a focus on liturgical music. Rehearsals commence at 7:30am in the Chapel with Ms Haydon and Mr Johnston on Fridays. Chapel Choir then sings at Community Mass (commencing at 8:00am). Secondary students who sing in the choir may include this time in their Roncalli Service hours.
