Concussion Awareness: Keeping Our Students Safe

We kindly ask for your support in helping us monitor and care for students who may experience a concussion outside of school, particularly during weekend or after-school sports and recreational activities.

Even if a concussion occurs off school grounds, it’s vital that our staff are informed. This allows us to:

  • Monitor your child’s wellbeing during school hours.
  • Adjust learning activities to support recovery.
  • Ensure safe participation in physical education and other school events.
  • Communicate effectively with you about any concerns or changes in your child’s condition.

Concussions can affect concentration, memory, mood, and physical stamina—making school a challenging environment during recovery. With your help, we can ensure your child receives the care and support they need.

If your child sustains a concussion, please notify the school as soon as possible. Together, we can create a safe and supportive environment for every student.
