Raising Funds For Sr Julie

Dear Families,

Yesterday our school was a sea of beautiful, bright colours as we remembered Sr Julie and the light she brought to our lives while working here at St Thomas the Apostle primary school. Thank you to all our families who donated financially to our 'Bright Coloured Clothes Day'. A total amount of $2535.40 was banked yesterday. The donations have continued to come in today. These monies go to the Sisters of the Nativity in supporting the repatriation of Sr. Julie to Nigeria. Thank you everyone for your generosity. We will farewell Sr Julie next Monday at our St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 11am with a Requiem Mass.

Thank you to all our families for your co-operation with our request for Monday to keep your children at home where possible. With a significant number of teachers and ESOs attending the Requiem Mass, normal classes will not be going ahead. Those children who are unable to be supervised at home will be supervised at school but will not be able to access the playgrounds between 10.00am and 2pm.

NO EARLY COLLECTION will be available on this day.

If you are able to keep your child home they will have learning provided that builds on their current classroom studies. You can help us plan for staffing by putting in a Parent Notified Absence for Monday 3rd March. Please select Remote learning from HOME as the reason. This will mean your child has no absence penalty against their attendance record.

Please refer to Kate's email sent out on Tuesday for details pertaining to the day.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Jen Gulavin - Deputy Principal (Inclusive Education)

Early Collection of Students

A reminder to all families that we do not release students during recess and lunch play unless a call has been made prior to students going outside.  If a call is made prior to recess and lunch play we can organise to have the students waiting in the office for collection.  The alternative is that students are collected prior to recess or lunch play.

Recess                11:05am to 11:35am

Lunch                   1.45pm to 2.15pm

We appreciate your support.
