We entered another art competition! These amazing artists from the Newman visual art groups worked really hard for the last two weeks during many lunches and recess!

Here's our 18 entries for the Stencil Art Prize! Good Luck St. Patrick's!!

           YOUNG ARCHIE ART COMPETITON

The Art Enrichment groups have been busy creating portraits of their favourite people for the Young Archie art competition.  After a thorough selection process, the top 10 portraits from our school have been chosen to represent us in this year's competition.  There are many more amazing works of art being created, and we look forward to showcasing them at our school to celebrate the students' efforts and creativity.  Each year, the NSW Art Gallery receives over 3,000 entries, making this a truly exciting opportunity.  Best of luck to all our young artists!

Important dates for dance and choir 2025: 

• 29th/30th May - SCS Junior Dance Eisteddfod (tba)
  • Location: Mount St Joseph College, Milperra 
• 11th/12th June - SCS Primary Vocal Eisteddfod (tba)
  • Location: St Patrick's College Sutherland 
• 24th August - Sydney Dance Eisteddfod 
  • Location: Sydney Opera House

Solo Eisteddfod Info

Reminder that if you are wanting your child to enter the SCS Eisteddfod as a Solo performer, registrations close on the 28th March. Please note, your child must be in Year 3 or over in order to participate as a SOLO performer. 

If you still wish to register your child for the solo performances, you can do so using the following link:

Please note, solo performances are not being accompanied by the school. Students will need to be taken to the venue and accompanied by their parent or guardian.
