Junior School

The Grade 1&2 students have been very busy over the past few weeks learning about

2-digit and 3-digit numbers in Mathematics.  Together, we have been exploring how numbers can be represented in different ways using a range of materials and methods. We explored these representations by using physical materials such as Unifix Cubes, blocks and an abacus, and learnt how to record our findings in our books.  The students were also given an opportunity to work in small groups so that they could share their methods and learn from one-another.

During our Whole-School Assembly, we were also fortunate to have our very own Max stand up in front of the school to talk about our recent fire drill and the importance of fire safety. Max did a fantastic job and it was great to see the rest of the students encouraging him and congratulating him on his achievement. Great job Max!
