In Mathematics this fortnight, we have been exploring our Place Value system. Students have been working at their own point of need exploring a range of concepts such as decimals, large numbers, factors and primes. You can support this at home by encouraging your child to calculate money problems and practice their times tables.
Our Literacy work has been focused on creating and improving a narrative. Students have been looking to improve their writing using the VCOP elements; Improving Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation.
Week 7 will see a few disruptions to our regular classroom routines as our Grade 3's and 5's complete the NAPLAN testing. Our NAPLAN tests are scheduled over three days from Wednesday 12th to Friday 14th March. Students will sit tests for Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy.
