Nina C - 1B

It has been a delight to see Nina approach her Writing this term with such genuine interest and consideration.

 She has shown great attention to detail in her planning, tried out different ideas in her drafts, and worked hard during the editing process to make her writing even better. Her careful publishing truly shows the pride she takes in her work.

Well done Nina, I can't wait to see how your writing continues to grow throughout the year. Keep up the fantastic work!

 

Iris l - 3B

Iris has demonstrated exceptional motivation in English throughout Term 1, consistently crafting engaging stories and compelling persuasive arguments. She has shown a strong commitment to self-improvement, using her mistakes as opportunities to refine her work. Additionally, Iris has eagerly supported her classmates, offering help to enhance their work once she completes her own tasks. Congratulations on an outstanding start to the year, Iris!

 

Jasper M - 5B

As a new student at EPS, Jasper has made an outstanding start to Term 1. He has approached Writing with remarkable enthusiasm and dedication. Using his knowledge of persuasive writing techniques, he creates texts that captivate and engage the reader. Jasper consistently looks for opportunities to challenge himself and improve his writing by asking questions and taking risks. It has been a pleasure reading his work, and I look forward to seeing him continue to grow and excel in English.

 

Judd P - 6B

Judd has shown incredible growth in his reading throughout Term 1. After some initial hesitation towards reading, Judd set a goal that he has worked consistently towards achieving. It’s been wonderful to see him gain confidence and really embrace the challenge. His perseverance and effort have made a big difference and I look forward to seeing his continued progress throughout the year.

Mathematics

Bella B - Prep D

Bella is an enthusiastic and hardworking Maths learner. She has eagerly engaged in learning about the days of the week and number representations. Bella enjoys challenging herself and recently found multiple ways of representing numbers when expressed as dots. Bella loves to share her ideas with the class and takes pride in all work she completes. Well done Bella on an excellent start to Maths in Prep!

 

Amelie S - 1A

It has been wonderful to see Amelie approach Math’s sessions this term with enthusiasm. She shows an eagerness to complete more challenging questions which demonstrates her passion for learning and growth. Amelie is always willing to help her peers she is partnered with by sharing her knowledge and understandings in a calm and respectful way. Well done Amelie!

 

Lulu M- 3A

Lulu shows incredible persistence in maths, never hesitating to ask thoughtful questions and explore new ideas. Even when faced with a challenge, he remains determined, tackling problems with enthusiasm and resilience. His curiosity and dedication to understanding concepts inspire those around him. Well done Lulu on your excellent commitment to your learning!

 

Otto S - 5B

Otto has made a brilliant start to the year by exhibiting a positive mindset towards all maths tasks. He tackles challenging problems with determination, using his strong understanding of Place Value and Angles to support his problem-solving. Otto consistently contributes to class discussions and asks insightful questions to enhance his understanding. It has been wonderful to see you demonstrate confidence and curiosity towards maths. Gretel M - 6A

Gretel has had an outstanding start to the year, showing confidence and perseverance in all maths tasks. She embraces challenges with a growth mindset, consistently pushing herself to extend her understanding. Gretel has excelled in maths and is taking on new learning with decimals, demonstrating enthusiasm and determination. Ollie D - Prep C

Ollie has made an exceptional start to his first year at EPS. His attitude to learning has been exceptional, giving every lesson a go and always trying his best. He is first into the classroom every morning with a smile, ready to learn. Well done on a great start to your school journey Ollie!

 

Sofia W - 1A

Sofia enters the classroom each day with a positive mindset and ‘can do’ attitude. She understands the classroom expectations well and follows the classroom routines with precision and enthusiasm. During learning tasks she gives everything a ‘red hot go’, listens carefully to instructions and uses both teacher and peer feedback to enhance her work. Sofia engages in discussions about her learning and understands where she needs to go next by continuing to work on her goals. Congratulations Sofia- what a great start to Year 1!

 

Teddy G - 5/6A

​​Teddy has commenced his final primary school year with determination and agency. He seeks personal excellence by demonstrating motivation to learn during maths. Teddy actively contributes to class discussions, where he takes risks and views mistakes as opportunities for personal growth and deeper understanding.

Freddie J - 6B

Freddie has kicked off the year with an amazing effort to improve in his learning. He’s worked hard to push himself and gives his best, even when faced with challenges. Freddie has also been a fantastic learning partner for many of his classmates, showing great collaboration and focus on the task at hand. It’s been awesome to see his perseverance and growth mindset. Alice has been an incredibly valuable asset in our classroom already this year. Curiosity

Evangelia P - Prep B

Evangelia has made a beautiful start to school, always bright eyed and ready to learn. Evangelia shows curiosity in the world around her by confidently asking thoughtful questions that help her learning to extend or clarify what she already knows.

When listening to books, Evangelia asks what words mean, asking what “below” meant in Five Little Ducks. During whole class instruction, she shows interest by sharing her wonderings about why different numbers and letters can look different and the same

Grace P - 1C

Grace approaches learning with an open mind, constantly asking thoughtful questions to deepen her understanding. Whether exploring new ideas in the classroom, investigating her own wonderings, or making connections beyond the lesson, her inquisitive nature inspires those around her. Edwyn has shown a strong sense of curiosity in Term 1, eagerly exploring new ideas and concepts in all learning areas. His enthusiasm for learning is evident in the thoughtful questions he asks and his willingness to dive deeper into topics.
