Year 3&4 

The Year 3&4 students have started their exploration of how natural and processed materials have a range of properties and these properties influence their use. This term students will be designing and testing gloves to keep hands warm. Students have explored how gloves are made of different materials for different purposes by drawing an annotated diagram of a glove including what the glove is used for, what material it is made of and why they think it is made of that material.

Year 5&6 

This term  Year 5&6 students will be exploring a range of reversible and irreversible changes through participating in a kitchen chemistry unit. Students started by sharing their background knowledge by using the digital tool Padlet and identifying if common kitchen items are solids, liquids, or gases.
