Compass 'How to' Guide :   Putting on an extended absence

If your child will be absent from school for an extended period (for example, going on a family holiday, or an expected prolonged medical absence) you can enter this into Compass before the absence to avoid having a backlog of unexplained absences to clear when you return.

Make sure the start date you enter is the first day of the absence, and the finish date is the last day of absence. 

Any prolonged absence should be cleared with the Principal and teacher prior to your child being away.
