Junior School

In Prep/1 we have been doing lots of 'hands on' tasks related to sharingand making equal groups. The Prep students have been sorting a variety of materials into equal sized groups, whilst the Grade 1 students have been focusing on skip counting, repeated addition and making arrays. These sorts of activities aid in the understanding of concepts such as division and multiplication. Having a solid foundational understanding of these concepts is vital and will assist students as they move into more formal learning related to the four operations.
