Digital Parenting Workshops
Thank you so much to those parents/carers who attended our Digital Safety and Wellbeing sessions either face-to-face or online this week. It was wonderful to see some of our parents and carers there! For those who were unable to attend, we highly recommend the Beacon Cybersafety App(see below). For those who did attend, you can access the Parent/Carer Packs through the Parent Support Hub. The packs provide a summary of all the tips that were covered, useful 60-second videos on key concepts, and resources to help start a conversation about online safety at home. For those of you experiencing difficulties with "Tech Tantrums", please watch the ‘6 Steps to Screentime Success’ video.
Eyecare Program – A Great Success! 👓
Thank you to everyone who supported the recent Eyecare Program at our school. The program was a wonderful success, with the optomitrist finishing up last week after seeing an impressive 254 students.
Each student received a written report at the conclusion of their eye test, and for those needing glasses, their prescription was included on the report for families to follow up.
Programs like this are incredibly valuable in ensuring our students are well supported for learning, as clear vision plays such an important role in classroom engagement and success.
We appreciate the support of families and staff in helping the program run smoothly and look forward to welcoming the Eyecare Program back to our school again in the future.
Lunchtime Clubs
Our free Lunchtime Clubs are a great way for students to connect, explore interests and have fun in a supportive environment. Run by our wonderful teachers and Education Support (ES) staff, clubs provide a safe and engaging space for everyone to belong. Check out what is on this term!
Random Acts of Kindness Day
We had the best time celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day last week!
There was so much positivity around the school - from sharing bookmarks and writing chalk affirmations, to spotting our Kindness Superheroes and delivering bucket-filler envelopes. It was kindness everywhere you looked!
