We kicked off our wonderful 2026 with a Cultural Gallery experience. Students had the opportunity to explore popular items connected to Indonesia and to appreciate the richness and beauty of Indonesian culture.

For example, Batik, with its distinctive repeated patterns on fabric, is one of the most significant symbols of Indonesia. The gallery also featured traditional instruments, attire, shoes, and more.

Students had great fun trying on Batik outfits, playing the instruments, putting on the Indonesian face masks and reading posters and Indonesian storybooks, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

To enrich their learning and further immerse themselves in Indonesian culture, the students created their own name bookmarks with a Batik-inspired background. Many of them colored their bookmarks exceptionally well.

Bagus sekali, anak-anak!

After learning Indonesian vocabulary related to classroom objects, students applied their knowledge by designing their dream school. This activity not only allowed them to showcase their creativity, but also helped them make meaningful connections with the language they are learning. Their strong participation and positive engagement truly reflect the school values of GRPS. Bagus sekali, anak-anak!

Congkak is a popular traditional Indonesian board game, and our students truly enjoy playing it. Through the game, they develop resilience, explore different strategies to collect as many marbles as possible, and practice taking turns. They also demonstrate respect for one another and responsibility by tidying up properly after playing.
