Literacy

In Literacy, we have been busy learning about two text types - Narratives and Persuasive Text. We have learnt about figurative language and the importance of the elements of a narrative. In our lessons on persuasive text, we have learnt about the structure of a persuasive and its purpose - Author's PIE!

All students are doing an excellent job of reading with some students already at 20 nights!

Maths

In Maths, we have finished learning about Place Value and all of the exciting parts that place value has to offer such as- identifying houses, expanded and standard form as well as what happens when there is a decimal value. We have learnt about proportional and non-proportional material - hopefully your student can tell you what this is!

Other Learning

Art - We have been learning about colour and all of its wonderful and beautiful properties. 

PE & Health - We learnt about healthy food with Miss Coffey and practised throwing and catching bean bags and small soft balls. 

Integrated Studies - We have continued learning about the Winter Olympics. 

Resilience Project - We learnt about healthy habits and All About Me.
