FROM THE TEAM

This week in Reading, our Year 6 students have explored intended audience of a text by analysing vocabulary in migration stories. In Writing, students have continued to innovate on our modelled text ‘Alien Landing’. In Maths, students strengthened their understanding of addition and subtraction of decimals through worded problems and designing a budget for a party. During Inquiry, students examined the impact of migration on Australia and investigated how different policies shaped who could come here and why, deepening their understanding of Australia’s multicultural identity.

This week, our Year 6 mob leaders organised and ran their first Tribes session. While there were nerves in addressing a group of students, they did a wonderful job. We look forward to seeing their confidence grow as the year progresses.

As your child is now in Year 6, all families should be looking into secondary school options for this year. Please take some time to explore local schools, attend open days, and discuss what environment will best support your child.
