Griffins Netball
Thank you to everyone who trialled for netball this season. Trials have now officially concluded and nominations are closed.
If you would still like to play this season and have not yet nominated, please contact netball@griffins.org.au as soon as possible.

Griffins Soccer
2026 Season Update
Registrations for Griffins Soccer 2026 are open, and we are calling for urgent action from families intending to play next season. Early registrations are essential to allow us to nominate teams, secure competition spots, and plan effectively. If your child is wanting to play, please complete their nomination in the link below as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
2026 Griffins Soccer Nominations
Timely nominations are critical for team allocations, uniform ordering, coach appointments, and overall season planning. Without confirmed numbers, we are unable to finalise teams and competition entries. Your prompt response will help ensure a smooth and successful start to the 2026 season.
Albany Junior Soccer Association – Girls Only Competition
We are continuing to seek additional registrations for the Girls' Only Competition. While it is anticipated the competition will proceed, further expressions of interest are needed to ensure Griffins can confidently nominate and support teams. If your daughter is interested in participating, we encourage you to register your interest promptly to assist with planning and team nominations via the link below.
2026 Griffins Girls Only Soccer League Nominations
Committee Position – Secretary Required
Griffins Soccer is also seeking a dedicated and organised volunteer to fill the role of Club Secretary for the 2026 season. This is a key committee position that supports the smooth operation of our club.
The Secretary role includes:
- Coordinate committee meetings (agendas, notices, minutes and bookings)
- Manage club communications, including email and liaison with parents, coaches, managers and the association
- Support the Registrar during nominations and registrations
- Oversee Squadi and team allocations
- Maintain club records and documentation
This role would suit someone who is organised, confident in communication, and comfortable using email and online platforms. You will be well supported by the committee and play an important role in shaping the 2026 season. Pre-season training will commence in March for Years Five and up, with full details outlined in the flyer below.
Griffins Volleyball
Volunteers Needed
Griffins Volleyball is desperately seeking three to four parent volunteers to assist with coordination duties.
No prior volleyball experience is required; simply a willingness to support our players and contribute to the smooth running of the program. Sharing the role among several volunteers helps make the commitment manageable and ensures the continued success of volleyball at Griffins.

Griffins Hockey
Griffins Hockey Nominations Now Open!
Nominations for the upcoming Griffins hockey season are now open.
Our new committee is working hard behind the scenes to organise teams and coaches, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic season.
We will also be hosting a Season Opening Event in the first week back at school. We strongly encourage all players and parents to attend. More details will follow soon. It will be a great opportunity to meet coaches, connect with teammates and hear about plans for the season ahead.
This year, we are excited to announce the addition of a second Men’s B Grade team. Anyone who has played previously and would like to return to hockey in a fun, social setting is strongly encouraged to nominate.
We would especially love to encourage teachers and school staff, dads and anyone keen for a run-around and some fun to consider joining our Men’s B team. It’s a great way to get involved, stay active and be part of the Griffins community.
Hockey nominations are open from Pre-Primary through to adults. We can’t wait to see both familiar and new faces on the field this season!

Griffins Basketball
Round 13 Highlights
It was an action-packed return to the season for the Eagles U14 Boys D3, who celebrated their first win last Monday night against Royals White, 24–13.
The team showed fantastic determination and teamwork throughout the game. Well done, boys, a great result to start the season!
Raiders News
Girls U12 Country Championships
It was a big weekend for the U12G Raiders at the WA Country Championships.
A special shoutout to our Griffins players, Chloe Rogers, Sadie Cameron, Harriet Stan-Bishop and Laily Wrobel, who represented with pride. Despite the hot playing conditions, the girls showed great spirit, had plenty of fun and stayed united as a team throughout the tournament.
A special thank you also to the coaches, manager and house mums for their support and care over the weekend.
In addition, Molly Stan-Bishop travelled with the team and umpired across the weekend at the WA Country Championships. This was a fantastic opportunity for a young umpire to gain valuable experience and receive coaching and feedback after each game from Basketball WA’s Perth umpire coaches. Well done, Molly!
U14 Country Championships
Harrison Boucher and Mark Hirst proudly represented Griffins Basketball at the U14 Country Championships Division 3 over the weekend.
The boys had an outstanding tournament, progressing all the way through to the finals and finishing in an impressive 4th place out of 20 teams.
A fantastic effort, well done, Harrison and Mark!
