Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope that all families enjoy the weekend ahead and the Melbourne Cup public holiday. A timely break for many as we prepare to launch into the ‘busyness’ of November and December.
Please note that Monday 4th November (Cup Eve) the school will be closed for all students. The office will not be open. Students will return to school after Cup Day on Wednesday 6th November.
Holy Saviour Art Show
Wow! As I walked through the corridors on Tuesday afternoon I was filled with immense joy and pride at the beautiful artwork that was on display! Your children have spent all year creating such amazing work and it was great to be able to showcase it all to you this week. Special thanks and congratulations to Mrs Olivia Turner for all her hard work over the year in Visual Art classes; and for bringing it all together so beautifully on Tuesday afternoon. Congratulations also to Xavier Cheng (& Vanessa & Sam!) for being the lucky winners of the scavenger hunt! Well done everyone on an amazing effort. Please check out the "Highlights of the week" page for all the photos.
50th Anniversary Celebrations
As you would already be aware, Holy Saviour Parish is celebrating 50 years in 2024! We have a BIG weekend of celebrating coming up and would love to see as many families as possible join the festivities. It begins with the Feast Day Mass on Saturday 9th November at 6pm, followed by food and fellowship. The celebrations continue on Sunday 10th November with the Holy Saviour Festival from 11.00am to 7.00pm. We would love to see you all there.

Holy Saviour Production - Turn Back Time
Also back for 2024 is our school production! Come and join us on a trip down memory lane as we celebrate 50 years of Holy Saviour Parish (& 47 years of our school!). This year, our production will be held on Thursday 5th December at the Emmaus College Performing Arts Centre. We are very excited to be able to present a production this year. The main roles have been cast, and all the students have begun rehearsals. All students will be involved in the production again this year, so please make sure you can make it!
2025 Transition Sessions
Last week a letter was sent home regarding the transition sessions we are holding as part of our planning for 2025. We have two sessions planned, Wednesday 20th November and Wednesday 11th December, both sessions will run from 9am to 11am. These sessions will provide all students with the opportunity to meet their teacher and classmates for next year. There will be no formal gathering of parents, however, we will open the hall for a cuppa and mingling with new parents.
Prep 2025 Enrolments
We have had great interest in Prep for 2025, as well as other year levels, and we’ve had a good number of enrolments come through already. If you have a child who is eligible to start Prep in 2025, please submit your enrolment at your earliest convenience. This will enable us to develop a clear picture of classing and group sizes for 2025. Enrolments for 2025 are to be made through the Emmaus portal.

Final Thoughts ~ All Saints Day
Today is All Saints Day. On this day we remember those faith ancestors who have passed. The Church asks us not only to be inspired by the past deeds of saints, but to believe that we belong to a community of believers past and present, and those of the past are not fully past, that they are also present.
Can saints stories be your story?
The ‘communion of saints’ has two closely linked meanings. There is a communion with holy things and a communion with holy people (CCC). We are a sacramental Church where the genuine nature of created things reveals the creator, and the saints help us become more and more the image of the one who made us. For this year’s All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, let us remember our ancestors and be inspired by them.
Prayer to the saints
Oh, saints of God
Who lived, loved, died and rose as did Jesus.
Be our companions
That we may be large in thought, word and deed.
Bringing peace, joy, love and compassion
To our lives and all around us.
To God be glory in Christ Jesus throughout all generations,
forever and ever.
Amen.
