School Anxiety

Coming back from holidays, or starting a new school year can be a challenge for some students..

Young people can feel anxious about school for a variety of reasons. They might be worried about making friends or fitting in, schoolwork may be challenging, they may feel pressure to look a certain way or be anxious away from home. Young people can become so anxious about going to and being at school that they then begin to avoid certain lessons or refuse to go to school altogether.

This can be a concerning and frustrating time for everyone at home, and the earlier support is gained, the easier the transition back may become.

Reach out to your teachers, house leaders and student wellbeing and we can offer you support when feeling anxious about school, and there are a number of organisations that can also support you and your family.
